This patent was filed in 2010 in USA and India in response to the Critical Path Initiative to transform the way FDA-regulated medical products are developed, evaluated, and manufactured. In 2006 the FDA issued the Critical Path Opportunities List,  which provided 76 opportunities to address the declining number of innovative medical products being submitted for FDA approval.
