Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and retirement of the systems and personnel that are required in an organization. The services under the responsibility of the Infrastructure Manager are typically the supporting services, infrastructure, that enable the delivery of customer-facing IT services and Internal IT requirements.
- Expected to work on site all five days at Company HQ in Neelavara near Brahmavara, Udupi District
- Able to work night time in case of need
Responsibilities include,
- Manage the staff and equipment that handles switching, routing, servers and in some cases perimeter devices (firewalls).
- Setup and maintain servers and laptop configuration and management
- Establish a disaster recovery protocol
- Design backup processes for server and associated data
- Install server software
- Configure database servers
- Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution
- User management and issues resolution with helpline support
- Cyber security experience preventing virus and other attacks
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent with three years’ experience or Engineering Degree with one year experience.
- Computer Networking
- Secured server and laptop configuration and management
- Establish a disaster recovery protocol
- Design backup processes for server and associated data
- Install server software
- Configure database servers
- Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution
- User management and issues resolution with helpline support
- Cyber security experience preventing virus and other attacks
- IT infrastructure planning and development Manage daily operations of the IT department
- Protect customer data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary means
- Assist with the installation of new hardware and software and help train employees on its use
- Web site content and change management
- System administration and graphic design for Marketing brochures using software like coral draw and adobe photoshop
- System version control management using SVN subversion or equivalent
- Mail server configuration and management
- Exposure to cloud platform and deployment in cloud
- System validation documentation and testing script writing
- SOP creation and change control
- Able to write and speak English with good communication and comprehension skills
- Good time Management Skills.
Preference skills:
- VPN management
- SQL programming
- Database development for Development, testing, UAT and production environments
